The Qualicoat standard for architectural powder coating has been readily adopted by many specifiers over the last 12 months and in order to continue to offer timely release of information regarding the standard a new website has been launched. The new site provides information on what the standard achieves, who can provide the specification and offers specification clauses for both ordering and use in building product specifications.
Companies who offer the Qualicoat standard are located across the UK & Ireland, and despite the more stringent quality requirements for members using the standard, costs for powder coating are no more expensive. Members can also offer advice on the suitability of finishes for various building applications and geographic locations.
Members include companies who produce the bulk powder and companies who provide the pre-treatment systems required prior to powder coat application. Ensuring that the whole process and product is monitored within the Qualicoat quality assured standard enables consistent quality finishes to be provided.
As the site is compiled and maintained by Qualicoat who are a UK and Ireland based Association, the information provided is impartial and unbiased. Users of the new website can be assured that information provided will ensure that the final coated finish within their building has a long and trouble free life.
The new site is located at www.qualicoatuki.org and is updated frequently with news and new advice on powder coating practice. Literature and advice is available from Qualicoat Head Office in Birmingham on 0121 456 6106.
