A new logo has been launched by Qualicoat UK and Ireland to support its many users across the construction industry and to further the knowledge of the standard.
The logo ‘Ask for the Qualicoat Standard’ serves two functions, it informs the specifier that the supplying company can offer Qualicoat approved powder coated material and also serves to further educate users of the higher quality and consistent finish obtainable when specifying Qualicoat. On websites it is intended that the logo forms a hyper-link through to the Qualicoat UK & Ireland website.
Whilst only Qualicoat members can use the Qualicoat diamond logo, many providers of products and systems coated to the standard, could not promote their choice of Qualicoat by use of a simple logo until now.
Paul McCarthy of APA Systems and Chairman of Qualicoat UK & Ireland comments on the new logo, “We believe that well over half of the powder coating used in the UK is provided to the Qualicoat standard. Once Qualicoat UK & Ireland approve an applicator, all finishes provided by that member meet the high standard for quality and consistency. Many users are therefore often unaware that they are using material to the Qualicoat standard. The new logo serves to further educate the user and create awareness that not all finishes are the same.”
The new logo is freely available from the Qualicoat UK and Ireland website for web and print use and is available with a simple guidance sheet for its correct use. Follow these links for instructions and logo download.
Current UK & Ireland news and information on architectural powder coating is frequently updated on the Qualicoat UK & Ireland website at www.qualicoatuki.org. Printed literature and telephone support is available from Qualicoat UK & Ireland Head Office in Birmingham on 0121 601 6746.
