‘Guide to
Specifying Powder Coat’
The second in the series of Guidance Notes’ has been added
to the Qualicoat UK and Ireland website. The ‘Guide to
correct specification of powder coated aluminium’ is a
short overview of the coating process and the standards
involved.
Correct specification of surface finishes is crucial to
obtaining long term aesthetic appeal and colour consistency
across a wide range of products such as balconies,
fenestration, rainwater goods and roofline products. As
more independent powder coaters in the UK join Qualicoat UK
and Ireland the specification process becomes easier.
Qualicoat members use a high standard of equipment as laid
down in the full Qualicoat manual and meet on a regular
basis in order to discuss and approve new processes and
systems. Third party independent testing of completed
finishes ensures these standards are upheld to the benefit
of members customers.
The Qualicoat UK and Ireland website also offers specifiers
lists of approved suppliers and applicators including more
information about the Qualicoat organisation.
Current news and information on architectural powder
coating is frequently updated on the UK website at
