When working on an international basis its important to recognise the importance of specifying Qualicoat for all your architectural powder coating requirements.

In Europe its very unlikely that any powder coating plant that is not Qualicoat licensed would win any major contracts - such is the acceptance across Europe. In the UK the popularity of the specification continues to grow, Architects, Systems Manufacturers, Global Metal Construction Companies, Consultants and Building Companies are all seeing the benefit of requesting finishing to Qualicoat standards.
Qualicoat stipulate a clear guide for the correct application of powder coating. These specifications are constantly under review by working groups within the membership to ensure the highest levels of quality is achieved and maintained. The local association, Qualicoat UK & Ireland, are very active with Qualicoat head office based in Zurich and are represented on several of the working groups.
One of the minimum requirements of membership is running a testing laboratory on site where samples are regularly tested and recorded. Results of these tests forms part of the independent inspection which takes place twice a year without advance warning. Further information can be found of the associations website and in the latest copy of the standard which is downloadable from the website.
Current news and information on architectural powder coating is frequently updated on the UK website at www.qualicoatuki.org. The European website offers the complete specification which can be found at www.qualicoat.net. Printed literature and telephone support is available from Qualicoat UK & Ireland’s Head Office in Birmingham on 0121 601 6746.
